Custom Servers: New Game Mode and Upgraded Server Host Perks

04/20/2026 Custom Servers: New Game Mode and Upgraded Server Host Perks

Dear Metas,

Custom servers are receiving a big update! After the version update on April 23, we will launch a series of new features, including an exclusive game mode, new server tools and settings, and new perks for server hosts!

I. Custom Server Exclusive Game Mode: RaidZone: Hyper Brawl

Co-Dev Test starts April 23

A new game mode is coming to custom servers. Hyper Brawl is exclusive to Once Human: RaidZone custom servers, with an Online Co-Dev Test officially starting on April 23.

In this mode, the server host can restrict players to designated circular zones on the map to customize the pace of combat. The server host can create different styles of combat environments by configuring the restricted zone, respawn mechanics, and resource distribution.

Life and Death by Restricted Zone

At any time, the server host can set a restricted zone of definable radius with their current coordinates as the center. All players will be forced to fight within this zone, and leaving the zone results in death. The server host can grant themselves the right to ignore the zone restriction, allowing them to freely move in and out of the restricted zone and oversee the battlefield with a bird's eye view.

Combat and Survival Adjustments

Want a more intense pace? The server host can increase player damage and reduce respawn cooldowns to create non-stop mayhem. They can also reduce the building plate limit and ban the use of certain defensive facilities to force players to stop playing defensively and focus on direct confrontations.

For server hosts who aren't familiar with these settings, we will also provide game mode templates for quick setup.

Building the Battlefield

The server host can share their personal facilities with the entire server, establishing neutral supply points or fortified positions. Additionally, by restricting the size of Hives, the server host can prevent large teams from steamrolling matches, ensuring that gameplay remains small-scale, tactical, and fair.

Setting Objectives

The server host can precisely distribute RaidZone Chips, the core currency, by setting the initial backpack contents, kill drops, online rewards, and more. They can also use the leaderboard settings to make RaidZone Chips the primary objective!

Exclusive In-Server Shop

Create a self-sustaining economic loop, using combat to fund combat! The server host can configure the drop rules for various chips and allow players to use RaidZone Chips to purchase supplies in the Server Host Shop. After earning chips in matches, players can spend them based on their progression needs, winning through smart resource management!

The server host can enable Hyper Brawl in the following ways:

Scenario: Select the Once Human: RaidZone (Hyper Brawl) scenario to start Hyper Brawl immediately.

Gameplay Settings: Go to the Gameplay Settings page and edit the Hyper Brawl game mode template and relevant parameters. To make setup more convenient, some parameters mirror options found in other Settings pages.

* We will continue optimizing the game mode throughout the Co-Dev Test. Thank you for your understanding and support. If you encounter any issues or have any suggestions, please let us know via customer support or the Co-Dev Feedback Platform, and we'll fix them as soon as possible.

II. Upgraded Server Host Tools and Settings

New Custom Server Features

To improve the experience and efficiency of running custom servers, we've upgraded and optimized multiple features as follows:

1. Added a customizable announcement that shows when players enter the server. This helps the server host to promptly relay information to players on the server.

2. Added a feature that lets the server host save up to three scenario settings templates. This helps the server host to efficiently manage and reuse scenario settings.

3. To let server hosts unleash their creativity and put together fun game modes, we will add the following settings with the April 23 update:

    a) Server hosts can open their personal facilities for all players to use.

    b) Hive player capacity can be reduced to a minimum of one player.

    c) Vehicles can be disabled.

    d) Players can be prohibited from building certain facilities.

    e) Issuable items: Tech Enhancement Points ×1,000, Energy Link ×1,000, Starchrom ×1,000.

Only available in Once Human: RaidZone:

    a) Respawn cooldowns for players' Territory Terminals, Sleeping Bags, Beds, and Campsites can be modified.

    b) Adrenaline Shots can be disabled.

    c) Territory facility and material limits can be lowered.

    d) Rewards for killing Metas: RaidZone Chips/Energy Links/Starchrom.

    e) Rewards for online duration: RaidZone Chips/Energy Links/Starchrom.

    f) All Deviations can be used in RaidZone mode.

4. To enrich the custom server experience, after this maintenance and update, a batch of new functional items will be added to RaidZone.

The items include: Rosetta Bio-Gel, Backpack Expansion, Load Handling, Improved Compound Fertilizer, Giant Crate, Airtight Diving Suit, and Dense Energy Device.

5. Players can use RaidZone Chips to purchase supplies in the In-Server Shop on custom servers.

6. Custom servers now feature leaderboards for kill/death ratios and wealth. Players can improve their rank by performing certain actions and win official settlement rewards, plus settlement rewards defined by the server host.

    a) Kill/Death Ratio Leaderboard: Players are ranked by their ratios of kills to deaths.

    b) Wealth Leaderboard: Players are ranked by quantities of specific items obtained.

Custom Server Optimizations

1. Optimized the custom server entrance, adding pathways to the homepage and sign-up page for easy access.

2. Optimized the custom server download logic on mobile. Players can now download scenario resources based on the custom server they join, ensuring a smoother experience.

III. New Server Host Incentive

To thank all server hosts for their contributions to Once Human custom servers, and to reduce server operation costs and provide more official support, we will launch the new Server Host Level and Engagement Score systems with the April 23 update.

Server Host Level is a three-tier incentive system based on the server's Engagement Score. As the Engagement Score grows, the Server Host Level will also be promoted, unlocking additional benefits and privileges.

The Engagement Score measures a server's overall activity. It will serve as an important parameter in future custom server events and incentive programs.

*Engagement Score Formula = (New Players + Returning Players) × 20 + Active Players × 5

Period: Server Host Level is updated on the first day of each calendar month. It is based on the average daily Engagement Score from the previous calendar month (from the first to last day of the month).

Promotion Requirements: To ensure stable server operations, the server host must operate the server for at least seven days during the calendar month to be eligible for promotion.

* Operating a server requires the server to have at least one player online.

** Servers operated for less than seven days will be placed in the Public tier by default in the following month.

Server Host Levels and Perk Details

Depending on their average daily Engagement Score, server hosts are assigned to three Server Host Level tiers: Community, Vanguard, and Meta-Human. More official support and benefits are unlocked at higher tiers!
