Dear Metas,

We know you're excited about upcoming content updates! We've received many inquiries about topics such as new vehicles, construction system upgrades, and more. In this Dev Blog, we'll share a sneak peek at our latest additions and optimizations, including a comprehensive upgrade to the construction system, new ways to explore on air, sea, and land, as well as upcoming Deviations.

I. RaidZone gameplay update: underwater combat

Launch Time: October 15(PT) (post-update)

After the October 15(PT) update, you can now fight underwater in RaidZone Mode using daggers, grenades, explosives, and medicine. Compared to before, it'll be easier to handle underwater structures and enemies. In future updates, we'll be adding more weapons and items designed for underwater combat, and other scenarios will also feature their own underwater battle modes. Stay tuned!

II. New structures, new feel! Comprehensive upgrade to the construction system

Launch Time: October 15(PT) (post-update)

To offer a smoother and more refined building experience, we'll implement the following optimizations after the update on October 15(PT):

1. Added inverted versions of the Left Fan Wall, Right Fan Wall, Left Crescent Wall, and Right Crescent Wall. Corresponding cosmetics will also be added to the basic Territory Bundle.

2. All building components can now be rotated manually when not snapped, and will snap appropriately based on the rotation angle.

3. Optimized the collision detection range between structures and gatherable nodes on the ground. Trees and other ground objects will no longer prevent structures from being placed.

4. Optimized the collision detection between structures. The collision detection range has been relaxed to allow a reasonable amount of interlocking between certain structures.

5. Optimized the snap points and the overall snapping feel of all structures.

6. Optimized the construction validation logic. Now, the construction order does not affect normal construction.

 

III.Flying vehicles

Launch Time: October 29(PT) (post-update)

Flying vehicles are coming by popular demand! After unlocking them, you can ignore terrain obstructions and easily traverse Deviant-infested valleys, giving you a tremendous advantage in aerial exploration.

How to Obtain:

In PvE scenarios, you can unlock the ability to craft flying vehicles through the Memetics system, then craft and upgrade them by spending resources at the Small Garage.

In RaidZone mode, you must collect shards to purchase flying vehicles at a randomly designated trade zone on the server. This trade zone will not change until the server closes. On the World Map, hover over a trade zone with your cursor to check if flying vehicles can be purchased there.
